About us

Food security matters to all of us: the German Agribusiness Alliance (GAA) is an initiative of leading associations and companies in the agri-food sector, which brings together the economic interests of the German agribusiness sector and strengthens international cooperation, particularly with transition, emerging and developing countries as GAA partner countries.

We contribute to the sustainable development of the agriculture and food sectors in our partner countries and to the establishment of viable modernization partnerships. To this end, we advocate for reliable and beneficial economic conditions on the ground and promote dialogue between the private sector and policymakers:

The German Agribusiness Alliance also coordinates the working group “Development Partnerships in the Agriculture and Food Sector” with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Regional Identity (BMLEH) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

On behalf of the GAA: a matter of honour

Our honorary members of the board are part of Germany's agribusiness and stand for international experience on three continents.
